About Lebeaques Kaltech Power Company
The Lebeaques Kaltech Power Company Ltd project is a 735MW gas-fired and combined-cycle power plant to be developed adjacent to the existing Ibom Power Plant Phase 1 in Ikot Abasi, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. The model for this project is the first of its kind undertaken in Africa.
The plant will be developed in three phases with an investment of over $500m. The first stage will involve the replacement of out-of-service Unit One, a Frame 6B on the phase (1) and fixing of any bad parts on the Unit (2) to push a total of 100MW to the grid. The second phase, which will be ongoing, will have a total capacity of 500MW, while the third phase has 235MW on completion.
